This is a small and highly calcified nautilus from the classic London clay of the Isle of Sheppey. The Nautilus has had its shell removed to reveal its beautiful chambers. The specimen is preserved both sides . These Nautilus are amongst the most beautiful to be found in the British Isles and are highly sought after throughout the world. This specimen is approximately 50 million years old. |
