| description |
|
| A really nice and quite rare Nautilus from this well known English Kellaways location. The specimen has been beautifully preserved and very well defined chambers are present. What makes this specimen more interesting is that it exhibits a fine bite mark made from a large marine reptile, most probably an Ichthyosaur. Bite mark evidence is rare in the fossil record as it is a moment in time that has been fossilised. |
