| description |
|
| These two spiny clam shells are amazing with their intricate detail. Also on the same piece lies a Gastropod (Pyrgotrochus elongata, J.Sowerby) three Belemnites (Megateuthis ellipticus, MILLER) and two ammonites (Otoites & Sonninia sp). Multi fossil specimens such as this incredible piece take many hours of careful preparation. The matrix has a level base for upright display. The fossil was discovered in 2011 during a temporary exposure. One for the serious collector of aesthetic fossils from the United Kingdom. Approximately 171 million years old. |
