| This beautiful example is partly pyritised with an incredible gold sheen on at least half its surface, which is a rare occurrence on these Bivalves. The closure of all Scunthorpe quarries means these fossils from this locality are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. The flat matrix base has attached an anti-scratch and slip pad for peace of mind when displaying on furniture or glass. Approximately 200 million years old. |
