description |
|
This really nicely preserved enrolled specimen was discovered in 1972 and has remained in the late professor GORDON WALKDEN collection ever since. One side of its head is very slightly worn, however the rest of the trilobite is magnificent and the detail is wonderful. To find one of these trilobites nowadays from this iconic silurian locality is highly unlikely as hundreds of people have stripped the place virtually bare. Approximately 430 million years old.
