| description |
|
| This is probably the only specimen that has been ground and polished along the full length of the Ichthyosaur skull. The specimen was collected in the late 60's and could not be prepared either mechanically or with the modern acid preparation techniques. This piece exhibits the full length of the jaw with its teeth and even the vertebrae at the back of the skull have been sectioned and polished. We at Fossils Direct try to bring unique specimens to the marketplace and this is no exception ! A fantastic display specimen, educational specimen or even for someone looking for something a little different in their interior. The specimen is approximately 200 million years old. |
