description |
|
Only rarely do large and highly displayable Ichthyosaur slabs come on the market for sale. This particular example consists of many vertebrae and ribs with ammonites mingled between them. The bones have been prepared in high relief from the surrounding matrix and the colour contrast is lovely. This specimen would grace any collection and would indeed make a fine display specimen for the interior or the office space and could always be wall mounted if required. The specimen is approximately 200 million years old. Larger images can be viewed in "showcase fossils". |
