description |
|
Fossil bird remains from the London Clay are very rare especially skull remains. This small but very intricate fossil exhibits the back of the skull and eye orbits, also preserved is the cervical occipital vertebra. The specimen was discovered in 1970 and was identified in Bristol museum in the late 1970's. Top quality London clay material is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain thesedays. A really nice aquisition for the collector. Approximately 50 million years old. |
