  This beautifully preserved specimen has lovely pathology near its aperture, the shell is all buckled and twisted, which is fairly rare for Barton shells, this is the first we have come across. It was discovered in 1971 and resided in the late professor GORDON WALKDEN collection. Approximately 40 million years old. One for the discerning collector of pathological fossil shells.
