  ref AMM7445
This fantastic ammonite has been preserved in pale brown solid calcite and has a very good centre. The ammonite was disco ered in1984 during a temporary exposure and resided in the late John Huxtable collection and recently prepared to a high standard. The ammonite lies on a chunky and aesthetic piece of oolithic matrix which also has a flat base for upright display. Attached to the base is an anti slip and scratch pad for peace of mind when displaying on fragile surfaces. This is a very good example of this kind of Stephanoceras and is rare. Many hours of preparation work have gone into this ammonite. Approximately 170 million years old. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website.
