Click to enlarge   Name Parkinsonia cf dorsetensis (High Quality)
  ref AMM6964
This wonderful multi fossil death assemblage has been fully prepared and was discovered after a cliff fall in 2006. The matrix has a cut base for upright display and attached to its surface is an anti-slip and scratch pad for peace of mind when displaying on wooden or glass surfaces. All the fossils have been preserved in solid calcite and each has wonderful and delicate features. Apart from the stunning highly ribbed ammonite there are six belemnites (Belemnopsis apiciconus), a spiny gastropod (Eucycloscala obornensis),two further gastropods (Natica subelegans), a bivalve shell and a smaller ammonite (Oppelia cf.flexa). The large ammonite also has a worm tube attached to its shell which is a lovely aesthetic feature. These multi assemblage fossils from England's Jurassic coast are becoming very scarce to find thesedays.
