| description |
|
| This stunning specimen's irridescence is one of the finest we have ever seen and resembles black opal colouration, including the colour turquoise which is incredibly rare. The surface colours include blue yellow, red, green, pink and orange. These flashes of colour are on both sides of the ammonite. An immaculate centre is also present on either side. The specimen was discovered circa 1971 and formed part of the Underhill Gault collection. Approximately 108 million years old. One for the discerning collector of irridescent ammonites.
