| This Gault clay ammonite has been preserved in phosphate and has lovely and clear heavy ribbing throughout. The specimen was discovered circa 1973 and has resided in the Underhill Gault Clay collection. Ammonites from this iconic locality, preserved in phosphate, are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain thesedays. Approximately 108 million years old. One for the discerning collector. |
