| Many painstaking hours have gone into this wonderful fossil which is approximately 200 million years old. This marvellous specimen started out as a small nodule, discovered during a temporary exposure in 2010. The nodule was then split in half and fully developed to reveal stunning calcite ammonites of various colours. Also preserved are two Xipheroceras Xiphus, with their nodes intact. Very few specimens of this calibre come on to the open market for sale each year, especially ones with this intensity of ammonites. Certainly one for the discerning collector of unique "one off" fossils. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
