| Very rarely do you find Harpoceras as good as this from this locality. The specimen is a classic zonal fossil and has been fully prepared with an immaculate centre. The shell's sutures are lovely and clear along with the ammonite's sickle shaped ribs. The specimen was discovered circa 1999. Nearly all these localities around this area have installed solar panels, so collecting has ceased now for many years, thus making these wonderful ammonites, hard to obtain, especially the very good examples. Approximately 180 million years old. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
