| This marvellous solid calcite nautilus is approximately 167 million years old and has taken many painstaking hours of preparation to achieve this standard. It has been prepared in 3D which makes the overall piece highly aesthetic. Very rarely do you get high quality fossil nautilus from this iconic locality come on to the open market for sale. This fossil would grace any high end collection or as a unique statement piece for the home or office space. There i also a Bivalve shell preserved to the side of the nautilus (Sphaeroidothyris sphaeroidalis) which is a nice feature. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
