description
This exceptionally large rare ray fish palate is exquisite in its preservation. It is an extinct genus. This particular locality is no longer accessible to the collector. Within the Ray's palate are its splenial teeth. The palate was discovered in 1971 and has resided in the late GORDON WALKDEN collection ever since. One for the discerning collector of very rare English fish remains. Approximately 166 million years old.
