description |
|
This really nice specimen has a ground and polished outer whorl to reveal the ammonite's inner beauty. The ammonite has been prepared in a generous piece of Oolithic matrix which has a cut base for ease of display. The fossil itself was discovered during a temporary exposure and now has been filled in. Quality ammonites such as this one will make a superb display item for either the collector or indeed an interior designer. Approximately 170 million years old. |
