| description |
|
| This stunning example has taken many hours of painstaking preparation. The ammonite itself lies in the centre of a highly aesthetic piece of light grey limestone and sits beautifully on a black chrome display stand. It was discovered in 1998 after a storm hit this part of the Dorset coast, the heavy rain brought down a patch of cliff which contained this particular nodule. The ammonite has wonderful colours with virtually every shade of brown. An exceptional display fossil which is approximately 200 million years old. One for either the discerning collector or an interior designer. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
