| description |
|
| This magnificent specimen exhibits two perfect teeth with stunning detail in situ within the jaw and partial smaller teeth are scattered nearby. On the underside of the jaw is a puncture depression, which indicates a predatory attack. Iguanodons were giant herbivores reaching lengths of up to 36 feet long and weighing as much as 5 tonnes. This tremendous specimen was discovered in 1969 and has remained in the same collection ever since, the late professor GORDON WALKDEN collection. The age of tis impressive fossil is approximately 120 million years old. Any English dinosaur material is very hard to come by, especially articulated jaw and teeth specimens. One for the serious and discerning collector. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
