description |
|
A truly stunning acid prepared nodule from the world heritage site of Lyme Regis. The Limestone nodule contains various elements of an ichthyosaur. These include, a stunning vertebra column with ribs, a paddle and digits, sclerotic plates,(these make up the eye sockets), jaw and other skull fragments. It is a highly concentrated jumble with many of the bones being matrix free. These acid prepared nodules take many hours of patience and skill to prepare. This specimen is one for the discerning collector of high class fossils and is the best that we have had to offer to date ! |
